Opportunities

The McKinley County Sheriff's Office may be hiring for the following positions: 

• Deputy Certified- $28.69-$30.70/hr (DOE) holds a current New Mexico certification in good standing with NMLEA or is NMLEA Certification by Waiver eligible (must present eligibility letter or email from NMLEA as proof)
• Deputy Uncertified- $23.71/hr will be required to attend and complete a basic law enforcement academy within one year of hire

Application Process

The application process is a highly competitive series of examinations consisting of a physical agility test, written exam, psychological exam, extensive background, physical testing, and interviews.
